Seventy freed Palestinian prisoners arrive in Egypt, TV channel says
Seventy Palestinian prisoners who were released by Israel on Saturday as part of a deal with Hamas have arrived in Egypt, according to an Egyptian state-linked television channel.
Al-Qahera News TV showed footage of two buses carrying the freed prisoners arriving at the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing.
They are to be transported to Cairo, the broadcaster said.
The Qatari news portal al-Araby al-Jadeed, citing Egyptian sources familiar with the negotiations, reported that some of them will stay in Egypt while others will head to countries including Turkey, Jordan and Qatar. Some may go to Europe, according to the report.
