Greater Binghamton prepares for artic blast


BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Greater Binghamton, along with much of the country, is preparing for a cold arctic blast, arriving in our area at the beginning of next week.

According to News 34 StormTeam Chief Meteorologist Rhonda Lee, after seasonal temperatures this weekend, frigid air will invade on Monday with a high of 17 and wind chills much colder.

Overnight into Tuesday, the thermometer will dip below zero at -5 degrees.

Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday are forecasted to be 12 and 13 degrees respectively.

It won’t be until next Thursday that temperatures rise to a balmy high of 22.
