15 injured after Brightline train collides with fire truck in Florida
A Brightline train collided with a Delray Beach Fire Rescue truck on Saturday morning, injuring three firefighters and 12 train passengers, city officials said.
Three Delray Beach firefighters were transported to a local hospital, where they remain in stable condition. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported 12 individuals from the train to the hospital with minor injuries.
The accident occurred at around 10:45 a.m. on the East Atlantic Avenue tracks near SE 1st Avenue.
The Delray Beach Police, Brightline officials, and NTSB are investigating the crash, which has temporarily closed East Atlantic Avenue.
